After the massacre in Jabaliya and, before that, the massacre at the Al-Mahdani Hospital, the Israeli killing machine continues to commit horrific bloodbaths in Gaza. The martyrdom of hundreds of civilians, including women, children, and the elderly, continues daily. Meanwhile, the suffering of hundreds of thousands of displaced citizens, trapped by deliberate criminal bombardment from all sides, intensifies, compounded by the lack of water, food, electricity, and essential medical services. All of this occurs amid international complicity and complete official Arab silence.

While the Arab Council expresses its deepest solidarity with our steadfast people in Gaza, who are enduring the destruction wrought by the Israeli machine, it:

First, holds the silent Arab regimes responsible for these massacres, especially those involved in besieging and starving the Palestinian people, and those that continue down the path of normalization. These regimes bear full legal and moral responsibility for the ongoing suffering of the Palestinians. The Council urges every Arab regime that still holds onto the slightest values of Arabism and Islam to use all available means of pressure to halt the genocidal project and the second Nakba, the outlines of which can no longer be hidden except by those who turn a blind eye.

Second, demands that the countries supporting this criminal aggression and those obstructing efforts for a ceasefire and humanitarian truce abandon their double standards and commitment to international law. Their positions not only encourage the further loss of innocent lives, but also deepen the rift between Western and Arab Islamic peoples, which is a dangerously escalating trend that must be stopped to preserve the future of peace and friendship between the peoples of the world.

Third, praises the positions of the people in Arab and Islamic countries and the various free people around the world across five continents from all religions, including Judaism, who have not stopped marching and standing in support of Palestinian rights, condemning Israeli crimes, and raising their voices for the world to hear.

Fourth, appeals to the conscience of all supporters of justice and righteousness to intensify such actions in our Arab countries and across the globe in order to impose a ceasefire and stop the shedding of innocent blood.

Fifth, commends the position of Bolivia, Chile, and Colombia for severing diplomatic relations with the occupying state in protest against the ongoing crimes against the people of Gaza. The Council views this as exposing the betrayal of Arab regimes and their disconnection from the general direction of their peoples.

Sixth, thanks the United Nations Secretary-General for his principled stance and his efforts to stop the fighting, offering his support against the severe targeting he faced from the countries backing the aggression.

Finally, the Arab Council affirms that it will continue its humanitarian rights work to prosecute the war crimes taking place in Gaza, in cooperation with dozens of lawyers and human rights organizations. It has already submitted a request to the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court to launch an urgent investigation into the genocide crimes against the people of Gaza.

The Council also announces that it will call for a summit of Arab peoples before the delayed Arab League summit, which represents the regimes, not the people, in order to make the true voice of the Arab peoples heard around the world and to coordinate efforts among the living forces of the Arab nation to support Palestinian rights and stop the bloodshed of Palestinians.

The Arab Council President Moncef Marzouki
