On Monday, July 3, 2023, the Israeli occupation forces launched a wide-ranging criminal assault on Jenin camp, both on the ground and in the air. The attack resulted in ten martyrs and over one hundred injuries, including several severe cases. The occupation forces forced hundreds of residents to evacuate their homes, reflecting their intention to raid the camp in the coming hours and days.
While expressing its full solidarity with the people of Jenin, who are facing horrific war crimes, the Arab Council considers that the minimum ethical stance for Arab countries in response to these crimes is to halt all forms of normalization with the occupying state.
The Arab Council also holds the international community fully responsible for providing protection to the Palestinian people from the apartheid and colonial policies led by a racist government. The Council views any silence regarding the war crimes being committed in Jenin as complicity in those crimes.
Signed,
The Arab Council
President Moncef Marzouki
