On Thursday, January 26, the Israeli occupation forces committed a criminal massacre that led to the martyrdom of 10 citizens, including an elderly woman, and the injury of 20 others, 4 of whom are in critical condition. This crime adds to a series of murders and systematic executions, claiming the lives of 30 martyrs since the beginning of the year.

The Arab Council extends its condolences to the families of the martyrs and to all components of the resistant Palestinian people. It calls on all Arab peoples and freedom-loving individuals worldwide to break the official silence, both Arab and international, and to show solidarity with the Palestinian cause while condemning the crimes of the occupation.

The Council holds the international community and the United Nations responsible for protecting the Palestinian people from the crimes of the occupation. It urges Arab and international human rights organizations to pursue the war criminals, including Israeli soldiers, military leaders, and politicians, and to bring them before international courts.

The Council believes that the minimum standard of Arabism, dignity, and humanity requires that the Arab regimes normalizing relations with the occupation state withdraw from normalization processes. If they do not, they will be complicit in the occupation’s crimes against the Palestinian brotherly people.

Signed,
The Arab Council
President Moncef Marzouki
