The Arab Council follows with immense pride and admiration the heroic steadfastness and bravery of the Palestinian people as they confront the brutal and criminal aggression of the Zionist occupation forces against unarmed civilians in Jerusalem, Gaza, and other Palestinian cities.

The Arab Council commends the unity of the resistance factions and all segments of the free Palestinian people in the West Bank, Gaza, and within the 1948 territories in defending their land, holy sites, and the right of every Palestinian to live in security, peace, and dignity.

The Council calls on all Arab and Islamic peoples to demonstrate in support of the Palestinian people, who are under attack, and to exert pressure on regional and international powers to act in halting the Israeli aggression. Furthermore, the Council urges pressure on the regimes that have committed the grave betrayal of normalization with the occupation, against the conscience of their peoples, to reverse this humiliating action, which has not brought the illusory peace, but rather provided cover for the Israeli occupation to intensify its oppression of Palestinians, confiscate their lands, and violate their rights.

While congratulating our people in Jerusalem, Gaza, the West Bank, and the 1948 territories on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr and their remarkable moral victory achieved in solidarity during the battle of wills against the occupying enemy, the Council reaffirms its support and calls for further steadfastness and resilience. It urges them to set an example for all peoples in the region, to shed the dust of passivity and humiliation from their dignity, and to break the chains of dependence, repression, and division imposed by external forces of arrogance and internal forces of counter-revolution and betrayal.

And the night shall surely pass.

On behalf of the Arab Council
President Mohamed Moncef Marzouki
